For example, if the 4th rated horse is only 10th's of a point from being the 3rd choice... use him! If you don't you'll be missing out on some great pay-offs! That's what Wiredfigs does. It points out overlays. So please, do not be too rigid in your handicapping... To all our racetrack brethren, find out what our subscribers already know.... the answer is always in the "figs"...For the "little guy" we always recommend the following exacta play. Use the top 3 rated over the top 5 rated, ie:123/12345. For a dollar exacta, this ticket cost $12. This gives you a shot at a nice score and we had many in the past year! ...Our resident exacta expert Mike Sullivan likes to use the aforementioned method with a twist. He'll use 5 over 3 instead of 3 over 5. We call it the "Sulli Reverse". You'll get better prices, but it does hit a little less often. - It has been a while since anything new was written in this space. We have always kept you up to date with the happenings across this page. Now however, something has to be said. There are too many horseplayers out there that think they can become rich by simply laying out two bucks a race. People, that's not going to happen. It's time to be honest here. I've had complaints from a couple of misguided souls who say they cannot afford the $12 per race that we recommend when playing exactas. If you are under funded you will not make any money in the long run. Making money in the long run is what we are supposed to do. Horse racing is not the lottery! $2 won't get it done. That's why big syndicates almost always win the pick 6. They can pour thousands of dollars into playing the pick 6 on huge carryover days. You and I cannot do that. Now the exacta formulas we give out across this page to use in conjunction with our ratings do show a small profit over the course of a year. That is for those of you who want an automatic system that requires no extra work. If you cannot afford $12 per playable race (do not play races with more than 3 zero rated horses)then I'm sorry, don't complain when you don't win. If however you only go to the races once or twice a year and are doing it for fun, then by all means bet your two bucks. We are not touts. We simply present superior ratings so that you can make an intelligent choices. And yes, you will not win every time you play using ours or anybody else's figures. There will be blockbuster days and some not so good days. But if you learn how to use our ratings you should come out ahead. We have a client who almost always never uses our top rated horse. He'll go and use the 5th rated horse in his procedure. But he has found a way to make it work. The ratings are laid out before you. They are not just speed figures, but a rating that carries many variables. They give you a great opportunity to win at a fair cost. In the end that's what it's all about. If you are going to whine about not winning every time, you need not waste our time and yours because you just don't get it. You probably never will.
You can achieve success with our ratings and a little smarts. For instance when the top rated horse is an underlay, play the next highest or third highest rated horse. If the 2nd or 3rd highest rated horses are both "good" odds play them both! With Wiredfigs those horses are known to pay double digits. For example take the Breeders' Cup on November 7th,2009. The 5th race was the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Our ratings had Vale of York with the 3rd highest rating. Well, the rest is history. He won and paid $63.20! As handicappers you are supposed to be looking for value. There was Vale of York staring you right in the face at 30-1. Believe us, there are many other plays like this with Wiredfigs. You don't have to be right many times with horses that pay 10-1 or higher. Our successful clients understand this. So should you... Now for the more conservative player out there. If you get your kicks from picking many winners then check out Nico Best Bet Numbers. The odds are usually low but we guarantee 41% winners over the course of a year. Use of the Nicos in exotic wagering is highly recommended!

- " I finally got to play Saratoga yesterday. I have just been incredibly busy. Anyway, I was just cruisin along for the first 5 races with winners paying $9.90, 10.60, 20.30, and 7.20 along with exactas paying 21.40, 64.00 and 23.60. Then came race 6 where I loved the top 3 wiredfig horses, one of which was 34-1. I played that one Joppa Flat's to win along with the other 8-1 horse to win and I boxed all 3 in the exacta and trifecta. Lo and behold Joppa Flats won and paid a whopping $70.00. I had the exacta for $354.50 and the tri for $1,589.00. I also had the double for $285.50 and the pick 3 for $4,773.00. I have never won so much on 1 race before in my life. What a score!
